According to CMT, Chesney and Colley flew into Bardstown, Ky. to meet with a breeder and buy a puppy. The breeder told the Kentucky Standard News that she had no idea the man playing with her puppies was a big star because she'd only spoken to Colley, whose name was on the contract.
While the pair had only planned on a single pooch, they ended up with two females, who they named Molly and Dolly. Since they'll only be around four pounds each when fully grown, we're thinking two is probably pretty manageable. And after all, the only thing cuter than a maltipoo puppy is multiple maltipoos!

How nice! Yet again another celebrity buying puppies and not adopting from a shelter! I understand 100% about maltipoos because they have to be one of the cutest dogs around but what about the millions of puppies and dogs sitting in cages in shelters nationwide who need loving homes and parents? And monies collected by the breeders?? What a nice new pair of shoes? A new phone? Or how about the fact they will breed again cause people will pay for the dogs? Again how nice!
STFU! How nice that you have to spew your worthless sh*t breath laden judgment on others. Get a job or two or three and adopt all you want. Some of us already do, but we don't judge those who can have and want a different type of animal!
Why dont you just put a sock in it ?
AGREED 100 PERCENT! And of all things a freaking designer dog "breed". I don't get why people don't adopt all pets from their local shelter. It boggles my mind, really it does.
I love Kenny's music, but he has made a mistake in purchasing from a breeder! Yes i'm sure the puppies are cute, but what puppy isn't? I'm sure there are plenty of cute dogs in shelters across the country, he should have gone to one of them.
Look, I love my dog and I love my kids. I have adopted from a shelter before and I have bought before. But, why are you downing someone for buying a puppy? Do you down people who have children of their own instead of ADOPTING a child that needs a loving home? My pet is like my child and I am sure most sincere animal lovers feel the same. It is ones choice to adopt or buy. People should have their pets spade or neutered to keep the pet population down.
It kills me that people are buying so-called "designer dogs" from so-called "breeders" ... these are mutts, mixed-breeds, whatever you want to call them ... and YES, you would probably be able to find these same mixes at a shelter ...
And you can join trtltrtl0221 by stuffing a sock in yours to
why would someone want to go get a mutt out of the pound when they can go to a known breeder and get a registered pure bred, the pound is the last place to go get a pet i think.
I am a pet lover who yes have bought and adopted pets, also know Amy and am aware of her kindness and help with the animal shelters were is was from and I am sure she is involved locally in Nashville also. I only wish people would understand whether a pet is adopted or purchased as long as it has a loving home it is already in this world and needs love....I currently have 6 adopted and a foster dog at this time and feed several ferral cats so don't judge someone who can putchase a pet as a family member, I am positve they are in a loving and caring home........
Some of you get on and post comments just to run off at the mouth! Adopting a child as opposed to having one of your own is totally different than buying a animal that sits in a cage and has no "life" you idiot! No I wouldn't down someone for adopting how stupid can you be that you don't understand there is a difference. I have pets too, i bought a cat back when I was young and didn't know any better. I am now wiser and have seen the outcome of what happens to these poor animals that breeders sell. The only people that would not have a problem with anyone buying an animal would be a breeder. So I would say all of you that run your mouths sitting behind your computer are breeders, or somehow involved in breeding. Oh and stuff a sock in that dumbas*
I found an almost 100% Maltese (DNA tested by a lab) in a shelter in Brentwood, TN. The rest of her is mini poodle. I think he could have looked a bit harder rather than have gone to a breeder. She is the BEST dog in the world and I always adopt. That's just my opinion...
Shame on you Kenny Chesney. Shelter animals need homes. You can find beautiful animals at a shelter and it's like they know you saved them, they are so loyal and thankful.I adopted my boy from a shelter and he is a pure bred Black Lab.I would never buy from an over priced breeder.Darn rich people flaunting their money.
This goes to some of the comments about how the breeder made tons of money. Sorry but you probably have that wrong. If you are a true breeder you make almost nothing, if you do it correctly. After all the testing that your bitch and stud need. And after all the vet bills for the puppys and the pregnant bitch. Most breeders make next to nothing. Most breeders out there want to do it to better the breed. Sometimes it can take years to find the correct stud dog that has what you want. Because there is alot at stake with having your expensive dog getting pregnant. It isn't all giggles when puppies are born you have a special diet for your pregnant bitch ( you just can't go to Walmart and throw down that trash food 'Ol Roy and others) and when the puppies are born it takes alot of work to make sure you document everything weights, lengths etc.
I only want a dog with Papers so when I know exactly what my dog is. What type or personality my dog(s) are going to have. And know that I can go show my dog if I would like.
There is a big difference between a breeder and a puppy mill. Look it up. It all comes down to choices and we will never all agree. What is the problem.............
Breeders perpetuate the vicious cycle in this country that ends up with dogs in shelters. When puppies outgrow thier cuteness and when the owner doesnt have time or money anymore, the dog is discarded. Glad Kenny is an animal lover and I'm sure he will take good care of these pups. But disappointed that he doesnt set a better example and adopt one of the millions of dogs in shelters who are about to be euthanized.
it is nearly impossible to rescue a dog from a rescue , these people that run these places are psychos !!
Oh please!!!!!!! Right now shelters are FIGHTING to stay open because funds are low and they have too many animals. I have adopted 6 cats from local shelters and right now the wsy things are, thats where the money should go too. So those who disagree can stuff it!
Blah blah blah. So show a picture of the puppies already.
at least 2 women found out chesney loves women..more than just one..this one will find out too...i hope she leaves before she gets bit
