I like them both but I would have to say Snoopy is more of an icon because he is more of a collectable type figure. Scooby is good also but Snoopy rules!!!
snoopy is the king
Snoopy rules, no doubt about it.
Snoopy over Scooby, but my favorite dogs are Goofy and Pluto.
SNOOPY BY FAR! The holidays specials made 30-40 years ago STILL hold up but aren't milked to death. Compare that to the weekly Scooby-Doo series and seemingly infinte made-for-DVD releases and who is the clear winner? Snoopy, and NOT just by a nose!
I was a big fan of Scooby-Doo when I was a kid, but now at age 44 I am STILL a Snoopy fan while I've outgrown Scooby-Doo.
Snoopy rules !!!, I love snoopy, my room is full of snoopy dolls, mememborila, clothes, cd's, books, dvds, videos, pencils, plates, cups, cards, bed sheets, clock, lunch box, mugs, you get the picture, lol..
Snoopy definately rules. He does a lot more than Scooby and isn't afraid of anything except the cat next door. Scooby likes to eat and so does Snoopy, but you can also find Snoopy playing baseball, fighting the Red Barron, boxing or arm wrestling with Lucy, and assisting Woodstock to name just a few. Snoopy also has taste, from his Van Gogh to the pool table in his basement.
Scooby is too '70s. Snoopy is timeless and appeals to more than one generation. Spuds Mackenzie and Alex from Stroh's are totally '80s and should have been included on this survey!
Red,& Rover are the best for me. Brian Basset the creator, has timely, wonderful, realistic, ideas, & his art work is wonderful. Red,& Rover are right up there with Snoopy!
