Apple seeds, however, contain cyanide, which is toxic to dogs. But do not be alarmed if your dog ingests a few apple seeds or even an entire apple -- your animal would need to ingest a very large amount of seeds for it to be a danger.
In general, dogs can safely consume most fruit with the exception of grapes and raisins. Though the reasons are unknown, ingestion of grapes and raisins can cause renal damage in dogs. Note though that some dogs can eat all the grapes they want and see no negative effects while others get sick. Some reports have also shown the consumption of star fruit to be problematic for dogs. If your dogs eats any of these fruits, be sure to consult your vet to be safe.

i wanted to know what do i have to do for my baby louie he is a 5 1/2 month cockapoo and yesterday i notice that his leash that goes around his body must have gotten to tight because he gotten so big that it tore threw his skin i am sooo scare right now and i didnt know what to do so i put peroxide on it and clean it really good then i put some cream on it but he kept missing with it. so my question should i take him to t he doctor today so they can look at it or should i just keep cleaning it and then it will heal on its own???please help me i dont want nothing to happen to him..... thanks sheka
TAKE HIM TO THE VET ASAP! It sounds like he had an embedded collar and your veterinarian will need to look at the cut, clean it and determine if it needs stitches and antibiotics. Your puppy is going to keep growing for the next 4-7 months, so please keep an eye on how tight his collar is until he is fully grown so this does not happen again.
Is pure garlic toxic to dogs & cats? I've been told it is, yet many years ago we gave it to our dogs in Az. to repel ticks.
