Celebrity pets keep going MIA, but this time there's a happy ending.

Brooke Burns, former "Baywatch" star and co-host of Fox reality game show "Hole in the Wall", was devastated when her black Maltipoo Max went missing last week, just weeks after Jessica Simpson's Maltipoo was snatched up by coyotes.

Burns went so far as to hire FindToto.com, an AMBER Alert-type service that calls neighbors in the area to inform them of a lost pet. (Simpson also hired the service, to no avail.)

Fortunately, all Burns needed was her trusty groomer.

According to TMZ, Burns' groomer mentioned Max's disappearance while chatting with another client -- and it just so happened that the client's neighbor had just found a black Maltipoo. They put two and two together and Max was soon reunited with Burns.

Max's groomer definitely has it!

So glad that Max's groomer brought up the fact that Max was missing. I know some people really don't understand what the big deal is to lose a pet.

My Blue Healer and Blue Crowned Conure are not just pets. They are a huge part of our family. I would be devastated if something happened to either one of them. Pepper is 11 and Duke is 10. This is the only home they know. I am so thankful that Pepper is not a bolter. She will not leave her yard. Kids left the gate open. When I noticed I took off out the front door to look for her. She was laying by the front door. She looked a me as if to say "took you long enough." That has never happened again.

I know you are happy Brooke. I am sorry to hear about Jessica's dog. I don't even llike to think about it.

Lost pets are why microchipping pets is so important. If a pet is found by someone who wants to do the right thing, they can take the pet to any vet who will check for a microchip -- generally free -- and contact the owner of record

I know just how it feels to lose your pet. They definately are a part of the family. About eighteen months ago, my brothers and I were watching a hockey game and someone let our 3 year old Wheaten terrier, Mylie, outside. Our yeard was totally fenced in, but Mylie still got out and was hit by a car on the main road, which we live next to. We were devestated. 2 months later, we got our Mac and Molly, brother and sister Wheatens. Ww never leave them out without being attached to their lead, and thankfully, they are perfectly safe. Congratulations on finding your pup Brooke, hopefully you'll never have to worry about her again!

The technology is here now.
Therefore, why don`t vets install Lojack devices (as in cars) so dog lovers can retrieve their loved family members from dog nappers.
Note that my female golden retriever gives me love, companionship & lots of exercise with her ball playing abilities. Wish Disney or a baseball team would sign her.
We would be quite willing to pay for this added security.
