Just like humans, your pet will be affected by the movement of the planets and you'll need to know what forces they're using to out-maneuver you with their sometimes-unpredictable antics. Whether you've got a cute cat or an adorable dog -- these horoscopes are just for you!

October offers a less hectic pace than previous months. The whole idea of this time of year is to harvest the fruits of what we have sown, and as this often involves tasty treats and new purchases, your pets will be totally into it!

By far, the biggest change this month will come when Saturn moves from Virgo to Libra on October 29. This planet teaches lessons by presenting obstacles that must be overcome, and spends about two years in each sign. Pets will manifest this change with shifts in their habits, health and temperament. Jupiter will also make a move from its latent retrograde period into forward motion on October 12. The Sun's move into Scorpio around October 22 will also push everyone into the nesting activity -- nature's response to shorter days and chillier nights. And, of course, before we know it, Halloween will be here!

Aries Pets (March 21 - April 19)
Aries pets will be ready to rock and roll for the Full Harvest Moon on October 4. Since this boisterous celestial event takes place in your pet's sign, expect more than the usual feistiness and a great deal of pride. Cats will be preening and demanding vast amounts of your attention, and dogs will prance and pounce with greater vigor than ever. Although the peak of the howling will take place on October 4, Aries won't get over this opportunity to grab the spotlight until the end of the month. Taurus Pets (April 20 - May 20)
Romance will be very much on Taurus' mind, so if you're thinking about a backyard breeding project -- or even introducing a playmate for your pet -- you can make a smart move now. The Sun will radiate extra energy into your pet's 7th House of One-to-one Relationships after October 22. If you don't see another creature in your dog's or cat's future, then maybe the two of you can work on your own relationship. October 18 and 19 are great days for extra long play periods or long evening walks -- bonding with your pet is healthy for you, too. Best Halloween costume: Wall Street Bull or Milk Maid.

Gemini Pets (May 21 - June 20)
Your Gemini will enjoy schmoozing with people and other pets even more than usual this month with Venus moving through his or her 4th House of Home Life and 5th House of Social Activity. At the start of the month, your pet will be especially forceful about declaring a little spot that belongs just to him or her. Let this happen -- as long as it doesn't intrude on your life too much. Then, around October 14, that little spot in your home will serve perfectly as a landing pad after your pet's done romping and running with the local den or pack. Cancer Pets (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer pets love this time of year because you tend to spend more time at home. Not to mention harvest time treats! You'll probably get more than a few messages about your Cancer pet's desires, thanks to Mercury running through Libra from October 9 to 28. Your pet could also seem to pick up your vibes more than usual, so if you notice him or her walking in circles or compulsively scarfing up kibbles from the food dish, you might want to take a closer look at your own stress levels. Leo Pets (July 23 - August 22)
As the fiery planet Mars moves into your pet's sign, your Leo pet could turn from a lamb back into a Lion! The month may start out quiet, but by October 16 a whole new set of bold and domineering personality traits could emerge. If your dog or cat plays with others, monitor the interaction a little more closely -- and give this animal more exercise than you think he or she might ever need. Your pet might begin to expect more from you this month, and the feeling of plenty brought on by the harvest time could inspire you to deliver the goods. Although Virgo has a relatively humble attitude, he or she does like to know that everyone's needs will be taken care of, starting with his or her own! Jupiter will come out of its retrograde period, so any thoughts of austerity will leave your pet's mind, and the paw will be out! A little extra food or a toy to make time pass faster as the weather gets colder should do the trick. Best Halloween costume: Knight in Armor or Vestal Virgin.

Libra Pets (September 23 - October 22)
Your pet will become far less frivolous and much more meticulous as Saturn gets ready to move into Libra on October 29. Even the most rumble-tumble dog or cat might begin to consider each move he or she makes, making you wonder if something is wrong. There will probably be less playfulness and even more of a tendency to sit around doing as little as possible. Check teeth and bones, and prevent arthritis and injuries by getting this pet as much exercise as you can -- and for Libra, that's no easy feat. Scorpio Pets (October 23 - November 21)
It's getting colder and darker, but it's time for your pet to shine! Not only will the Sun bring your cat's or dog's birthday after October 23, it will boost your pet's energy and prop up its ego, too. Of course, your pet doesn't need to get too much extra positive reinforcement, as most sexy Scorpios already know they're the best at everything they do. If you're into it, get your pet to try cat tricks or canine agility training. Your pet will take any excuse to stand up on its back legs and take a bow. Sagittarius Pets (November 22 - December 21)
Chilling in the weather will mean changes around the house, and thanks to erratic planet Uranus, your pet is probably going to get a little uneasy about it. This freewheeling animal loves to roam, and when you can't let him or her go outside as much or for as long as you could in warmer weather, it's natural for this pet to get antsy. There are a few ways to prevent this -- take your pet out for a run, or get engaging toys that will let him or her frolic around the house. Cats can be praised for keeping their feeding areas clean, or for grooming one of their cute little companions without being asked.
