Update: Perp Arrested in Duct Tape Cat Case

Police have arrested the person allegedly responsible for wrapping a cat in duct tape and abandoning it last week in North Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania SPCA received a tip that led to this weekend's arrest of 19-year-old James Davis, who surrendered to police and confessed to the crime.

Davis admitted to wrapping the cat in duct tape, placing it in a shopping bag, and abandoning it in the residential area in which it was found. Davis is in custody and undergoing psychiatric evaluation. He faces up to two years in prison and a minimum $1,000 fine for the charge of animal cruelty.

According to the Pennsylvania SPCA, Sticky, as the cat has been affectionately named, is doing well and has already received nearly 100 adoption inquiries.

hurray for Sticky! That's the best news ever that the monster who tried to kill her so cruelly has been found and is in jail. I hope he gets the book throw at him. maybe the judge will order him to serve his time wrapped in duct tape!

I am so glad this LOSER was caught so fast! Part of his 2 year sentence (hoping he gets the full 2 years) should be that on a daily basis he is stripped naked and wrapped in duct tape then have it pulled off FAST!!!!! I hope he gets a really friendly roomate if you know what I mean.......

The piece of crap that did this to Sticky should be tossed in jail for the rest of his life! I was moved to tears when I saw the picture of little Sticky. What a sweet looking cat she is! I am sure that she'll find a new kitty house soon, with a family that will love and worship her forever!@
