Puppies are adorable. But a puppy with a natural heart-shaped marking? It's so cute we want to scream.
Born on August 3 in Japan, the long-haired Chihuahua pup emerged with a perfect heart pattern on his side, just like his big brother, Heartkun, who was born two years earlier to the same mother. Heartkun has a butterscotch-colored heart on his left side, while his newborn baby brother, named -- what else? -- Lovekun, has a black heart on his right side. (We defy you to look at their picture without squealing.)
Lovekun was the only one in the litter of four puppies born with the unusual and sweet marking. Both Heartkun and Lovekun live with their owner Emiko Sakurada who runs Pucchin Dog's shop in Odate, Japan. Heartkun, born in 2007, was literally one in a thousand according to Sakurada, who says she bred over a thousand Chihuahua puppies before Heartkun was born. Now, she's got two of a kind!

Why Vets Can't Always Smell What You Smell
Hi,they are so cute I'm planning on getting one myself,when my son had a white pit bull name haven she gave birth to a pup with a heart shape also,every one wanted to buy it but it died about two weeks later,but if it had lived we would have kept it for ourselves.I think when a animal is born with such a marking it makes that animal very special.P.S all pets are special to us!

My cat has a black heart on the inside of her left ear. I like to tell people she got a tattoo when I was out of town....it's really cute!
Not so rare.. I have Jack russells and all the time i get pups with hearts or with mickey mouse heads. its very frequent markings like this happen.
It is a sign! A good sign! My yellow lab just loves to look out the window and bark at people walking by,because,in her mind,they are not allow to. Lets us see updates on that puppy and dog soon.
The marking itself isn't rare. I see heart shapes everywhere. The dogs WITH the markings are rare. The marking itself is unique.
There are many crazy people here in Florida, I live a little north of West Palm Beach. My chihuahua is a beautiful, well mannered, quiet dog but, if a stranger tried to pick her up and run, she would rip their face off. Never under estimate a chihuahua, they could be real mean if they have to!!

I'm a pet stylist of 30 yrs, and I've seen many pet with a heart shape on the body, so I think it cool, but not so rare. but I think any animal with a heart shape is been kissed by god, or is that dog back-ward????? enjoy!!!!

This woman shouldn't be put in the spotlight because of the animals markings but because she is part of the reason so many animals are put down each year!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I have a heart shaped birthmark. Like, it's an actual heart-more of a heart than the one on the puppies. No one makes a big fuss about that, haha. But I have to admit, it is cuter on the puppies.

looks just like the little ducks that kids play with in the bath tub ...
There were a few of the pups that had heart shapes, in the same litter, but she was the only one with he duck shape ....

To those who had negative comments should have kept them to themselves,heart shapes are a sign of love it gives people a warm feeling inside,sure it's not a miracle but its cute......come on smile.P.S.to those who made the comments about adopting,have you done any thing to help,such as donate free time at a near by shelter? people in the would should learn to smile more and be more positive not so negative all the time.
We had a white kitten that was born with a black "heart" on her side similar to these doggies. We named her corazon and called her cora for short. Sweetest cat ever.
