Susan Finden wasn't sure where her free-spirited kitty would disappear to every day until the local bus drivers in Plymouth, England revealed to her that Casper has been a regular on the No. 3 bus for the last four years! You read that right. Each morning, the Sun reports, Casper lines up with the paying passengers to await the 10:55 morning service. He takes a seat in the back and enjoys the 11-mile, round-trip route before hopping off to return home. The drivers watch out for the wandering feline and make sure he gets off at the right stop.
A spokesman for the bus company says they're happy to let the 12-year-old cat ride for free. After all, he said, "In cat years he's an OAP [Old Age Pensioner] so he'd get a free bus pass anyway."

That's why I love cats so much. They are so much smarter then me ;)
They sure are. You should have used the word "than" not "then".
lol thats awesome mine is smarter than my husband!
That is a pretty cool story. Wonder what got him started doing that?
Cats R coool! And Casper obviously has real personality.
Must be nice to live somewhere that animals are accepted. In the U.S., the health departments have banned all but service animals from most places. I guess service animals are inherently cleaner than all other animals.
service dogs are a necessity for handicapped people because they do provide help for the disabled, open doors, turn on/off lights, pick up dropped items, etc. they are highly trained and cost upwards of $10,000. consider yourself lucky you're not disabled!
Yes, well you see there are also insurance issues that retailers must deal with as well. A recent incident at a Home Depot comes to mind where a child was bitten by a dog ( not service oriented ). The fact is that pets are accustomed to thier own surroundings at home, and may react quite differntly in a public setting. This is really a matter of Common Sense
This is just an absolutely adorable story!! What a crazy cat!! = )
I TOO AM A MASS TRANSIT DRIVER. I WOULD RATHER HAVE A NICE QUIET CAT THAN SOME OF THE PASSENGERS I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH. SOME OF THE TIME IT IS LIKE A WAR ZONE IN THERE BUT A CAT WOULD BE A NICE QUIET AND POLITE RIDER.
"...bus for the last four years!"
Last? I think you mean "past", old boy.
what a nice story about a cool cat and the people he chooses to hanng out with...lol
Great story. For another good cat story, check out 'library cat'.
I drive buses, and they're noisy and large - it's amazing that a CAT would not be intimidated by these factors and actually get on the thing! I would LOVE it if an animal decided to get on and ride my bus every day - like John said, it would be a great improvement over many of our passengers AND the animal would be a lot cleaner and not smell...
This is such a great story. I would love to see a video of this from the time he stands in line (so funny) getting in his seat and when he gets off.
I wonder why that cat enjoys riding in the bus so much. My cat puts up a fuss if she has to go anywhere. Especially the vet's office!
that is a joy to even think about..
I can see my cat doing this. He follows us around the neighborhood when we go for walks. If we go out of the neighborhood, we have to put him in the house or he'd continue to follow us wherever we go. He also likes to hang out in our cars if we leave a window open. He'll get in when we're getting out of the car just to take a nap!
I love this story. I wonder why he started getting on the bus in the first place. That is soooo cool~
Adorable Story :-))) Cats are Amazing creatures!!!
