Puppy Beachwear Modeled at Taiwan Fashion Show

Every proper pooch needs a bathing suit, right? What else is a dog to wear while lounging poolside or frolicking in the waves at a dog beach?

From teeny bikinis to more modest one-pieces, all the hottest canine swimsuits were on display at a doggy fashion show in Taipei, Taiwan last Wednesday, reports Fox News. As a James Brown song played in the background, a saucy pigtailed Bichon modeled a bikini with a sailboat motif, while a black and white French bulldog sauntered around in a pink and white polka dot bathing suit. What else is big this season? Bold prints, metallics, and Hawaiian styles.

Alas, the suits will only be available in Australia, China and Japan. Luckily, we've got plenty of our own dog-crazy fashion designers right here in America.

I would NEVER EVER dress up my dog or cat in any kind of costume or clothing!! It's not in their nature.

The only possible exception might be in our super cold winters and if it meant safely allowing a dog to tinkle and poop briefly.

there is nothing wrong with the right cloths on a pup, nothing silly. my two pups look forward to their teeshirts in the winter to wear around the house. the floors get cold. and they have winter coats to wear out side too. we live where we get alot of snow. to me they are not just dogs, they are little people with fur. my Molly(maltese)and Precious(boston bull). the love of my life.

The "Puppy Beachwear Fashion Show" proves people love their animals and consider them more than just a pet. I can see clothing for warmth and protection, (examples) to keep them warm in extreme conditions, susceptibility to sunburn, and paw-pad protection-(snow & ice) On a personal note; I don't like dogs being dressed up or used as a fashion accessory.
