For a dog that has only two hind legs, Faith sure does get around.

Hailed as the world's first known bipedal dog --- she walks upright like a human --- Faith has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and Montel Williams and has a slew of videos on YouTube.

Recently, the six year-old chow chow mix --- who only flies first class since being shipped to the wrong city when she flew cargo --- landed in Detroit to make several public appearances and visit troops recuperating at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor. She's made so many visits to veterans and troops that Faith was given an Honorary Commission as an E5 Sergeant in the United States Army. "She has a higher rank than my son, Reuben, who is in Iraq," Jude Stringfellow, Faith's owner, quipped to the Detroit Free Press.

Born with only two hind legs and a partially formed front left leg, the deformed Faith was being smothered by her mother when Stringfellow's son rescued her at three weeks old. At seven months, Faith's front leg had to be amputated when it began to atrophy, states Faith's official website (which has adorable photos of Faith as a puppy).

Stringfellow trained Faith to walk upright on her two hind legs using peanut butter. "Faith may only have two legs," says Stringfellow, "but she has a big heart."
