We almost booked a ticket to China on the spot when we saw these adorable photos of pandas at the Wolong Giant Panda Breeding and Research Centre, where baby pandas are enrolled in a special "Panda Kindergarten" when they reach one year of age to help strengthen their basic survival skills.

In May, 2008, the Wolong center was severely damaged by an earthquake. One panda was killed and one reported missing, with the remaining 61 relocated to Bifengxia, China as they await the construction of a new home in Wolong, estimated for completion in 2010. The earthquake also eliminated the panda's main source of food when bamboo forests were buried by mud and rock slides.

So what can you do besides gawk at these to-die-for photos? Help Chinese zoologists get back to work to preserve this prized, endangered species by making a donation to Pandas International to help plant bamboo on Earth Day, April 22. Now get to class!
